Culinary ebooks are a great form of communication in the area of food PR, because they cover attractive content for both consumers and, at the same time, provide a good platform for presenting key messages. The publication process is itself an opportunity that allows to establish and strengthen relationships with such an influential groups as culinary bloggers, nutritionist and chefs. We present selected works that we prepared for the California Prune Board.
“California prunes in 16 ways” is an e-book established as one of the activities of the campaign “Friend from California”. We have invited influential food bloggers to design special content for this publication. They prepared unique recipes with exceptional photographs. In the first phase of communication, the e-book was available as a form of gratitude to people who took part in the study, “Nutrition styles among Polish women”. Eventually this unique culinary publication become available online and downloaded by thousands of people.
“Classy school flavors” e-book contains recipes for school delicacies with California prunes. Content of the publication was enriched with information on the nutritional value of each recipe. In September 2015, the publication was downloaded over 8,000 times.
“Lunchbox from a friend from California” is a culinary e-book developed in spring 2017. Publication is filled with recipes designed by food bloggers. Each recipe contains a proposal for one day of the week. In addition, the publication is enriched with a shopping list prepared by nutritionist. The material enjoyed great popularity, during the communication campaign it was downloaded over 12,000 times.
